Fort Lee Running for Our Youth 5k- Start Line — Fort Lee Running for Our Youth 5k

On the beautiful sunny morning of June 11, 2023, the Fort Lee community gathered at the starting line for the highly anticipated annual event, the Fort Lee Running for Our Youth 5k. The air was filled with excitement and the atmosphere was electric as participants, both seasoned runners and enthusiastic newcomers, prepared themselves for the challenge ahead.

As the race officials signaled the start, a sea of runners surged forward, their determination evident in their faces. The route wound its way through the picturesque streets of Fort Lee, showcasing the town's scenic beauty to both the runners and the cheering spectators lining the course. The overall winner of the event was Elson Smajlaj as the female winner, Ruiyao Sun clocked in at an impressive 21:00. Between the walk and the 5k run, the race saw nearly 400 registrants.

The 2023 Fort Lee Running for Our Youth 5k will be remembered as a resounding success. It brought together the Fort Lee community in a celebration of health, fitness, and support for the youth. The event raised a tremendous amount of money thanks in large part to the PBA of Fort Lee and other emergency services who helped put on a great event!
